Little E.L.F Haul

So I noticed the other day that e.l.f had a 30% off code and thought I'd take advantage of that. I only got a few bits but they were stuff I wanted to try. I'm always on the look out for new additions on their website.

I really wanted to try out the lip exfoliator. Now that its winter, my lips tend to be dry as expected. This is cutely packaged, just as a lipstick. Handy to carry around with you.

The new nail polish sets looked so lovely. I got the set called Glam Bam. The polishes inside are
L-R: Golden Goddess, Blush and Cranberry.

I got a back-up of my trusty Zit Zapper. Works for me every time!!! :)

The baked eyeshadows were a must. I can't wait till they get the rest of the baked range in. I picked up the eyeshadows in L-R: Bark and Burnt Plum.

I also got back-up's of my eyeshadow brushes. I love these. They're cheap and get the job done, and I must say really nicely.

I went out the other night and went to my lip gloss drawer to find it almost empty!! WOW! I really need to start stocking up. I got this Mineral Lip Gloss in Daring. I've tried this before and it's great for the price.

Last I got the Wet gloss lash & brow clear mascara. I have read good reviews on this so I'm hoping i like this.

What have you tried recently?

Nail Of The Day: Shimmer & Blue.......

Firstly I would like to apologise for my absence. I have had some personal stuff going on and been through some real difficult times, but such is life.

So I actually painted my nails yesterday but they're still lookin good ;)

For this look I used my W7 Harder & Tuffer Nail Treatment as a base coat. I then used Rimmel PRO nail polish in 420 Aqua Cool. I used Nubar nail lacquer in G108 Silver Glitter and then Seche Vite base coat.

I'm actually loving this look, what do you think?

FAVOURITE'S

I haven't done a favourite's post for a while as I just didn't have that many to show. Here's what I have been liking of recently.

It's a real shame that I can't wear perfumes as they irritate my skin. But my friend went to Las Vegas and got me this Victoria's Secret Fragrance Mist. It smells lush and so sweet, I just spray on my clothes and I'm good to go.

During my Makeup course I used this E.L.F Daily Brush Cleaner. I have seen some bad reviews on this product but I actually like it. It is what it states. It does not deep cleanse your brushes but disinfects them in between uses.

I think this twin pack of anti-bacterial wipes is a must. I cant use hand gel on my hands as it's too strong. These are a great alternative. Just for £1 from Primark

Another favourite from E.L.F is their Studio line Glossy Gloss. I love these. They are so pigmented and as I dont' wear lipsticks these are a great alternative for me.
L-R: Muted Mauve, Tangy Tangerine, Berry Blush, Dragonfruit and Watermelon. No swatches as I previously posted swatches.

Lastly this M.A.C Rose Romance lip gloss. This is from a very old collection. I really like this. Even though usually I don't like shimmer lip glosses, somehow this has become one of my loves. It's a sheer gold tone with tons of fine shimmer. I usually wear it when I'm out. I'm so gonna miss this one when it's gone....

Have a good day all.

M.A.C. Birthday Gifts

I'm on a roll guys. Yet another post. I thought I'd share with you my new M.A.C additions. These were a gift from a friend.

First there is this little make-up bag. It's cute but a bit of an awkward shape to carry around in my bag.

This mirror is unusual too. It's very slim and sleek.(below right)I love it. It also comes with a sleeve (below left).

Now these mineralize eyeshadow's are my absolute fav. They are made up of a few different colours then when applied merge into a beautiful almost two-toned iridescent shade. On the left is Magnetic Attraction and on the right is Water.

Here are the swatches.

This is MATTE. I believe this is to be used as a primer or even over makeup to mattify the skin when necessary.

Where have I been?

This is just post to let you all know what I've been up to as I know I haven't posted for a bit.

I don't know if you all know but I am a hairdresser by trade and have been an aspiring make-up artist for some time. I have been practicing my make-up skills for a couple of years now and thought it was now time to get further into it and make progress. I was looking for courses to help further my knowledge and they were just so expensive. I did come across a beginners course which was by Mink Makeup School and it was £675. To my surprise just a month later, I stumbled across this course on Wowcher for just £99! I quickly bought it and waited impatiently to start the following month.

Well I loved it, it's been 2 weeks now and I miss it. it has really motivated me to get the ball rolling. I've been getting a list ready for my MUA freelance kit, about to get some cards printed and a basic site up and running....how exciting.

Here is a sneek peek of some of the stuff I have done

What do you guys think?

It's my Birthday.........

Well first I'll start by saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to me as it's my birthday today yaaaaaayy!!! Well I haven't got off to a good start. I was out over the week-end and my makeup was all over the place. Last night I was tidying up and dropped two MAC palettes, one eyeshadow and one blush:(
Well I broke 1 blush and 3 eyeshadow's so I spent some time fixing them back up, which is a bit of a chore.

Also I should be at work today but my hay-fever decided to attack me last night, I didn't get much sleep and I am still congested :/ I also suspect my boss thinks I'm pulling a sicky because it's my birthday as originally I couldn't book today off.

Anyway I may drag myself out of bed and have lunch with some friends today, but I am celebrating at the week-end with the girls so roll on the week-end.......
